Mr Sitter Could anyone please translate Hunty's injury update on Royals TV. I got that someone is returning to training on Monday and someone else has got a knee injury but i genuinely couldn't make out which players he was talking about.

Jacob’s in training on Monday
Genuinely no idea who has the knee injury

Knibbs has some strapping on his knee according to observant fans on twitter, could be him.

He got hoiked away from the Bearwood Open Day by one of the backroom staff (LB - can't remember his full name!) and looked to be heading to the Physios. Not sure where they were going to treat him though, given the hundreds of fans traipsing through that area!

It's looking a bit like there's a 1st XI and 2nd XI in the friendlies. Obviously somewhat not 100% with a few notable absences.

But Kelvin E seems to be in the second XI and Garcia, Camara and Sackey in the first, which would be a bit of a surprise.

Makes sense to drill the first choice near all change defence as one as much as possible.

LB would be the player liaison guy (or nanny which pretty much describes the role I think)

He was certainly talking to Knibbs like that! 'Come on Harvey '

Seems that way, doesn't it. Kelvin E hasn't signed yet though (not officially announced anyway), so makes sense from that viewpoint to put him in the second XI for now. Possibly a factor that he's the only other striker in the squad at the moment, too.

Will be interesting to see how Hunt uses him this season, whether it's primarily as a wide forward, or as a central striker - and that might be dictated by who we can get through the door by the end of the window.

One interesting fact is that Osho seems to be having a very good pre-season, playing more as a RW than a RB as we may have expected him to play ...

Reading will now take on Slough Town (not Oxford) at Bearwood Park in a behind closed doors pre-season friendly on Tuesday 22nd July at 12pm.

Any idea how strong the XI was?

Borgnis is looking very tidy. I'd happily see him getting time in the cups and covering Wing, Savage, Knibbs and Elliott.

I’ve seen Borgnis 3 or 4 times now and have liked what I’ve seen

He has a real turn of pace as well which is handy

I do hope we continue to give the academy lads lots of time and don’t go back to ignoring them. I’d be more than happy to see Borgnis, Ryan, Osho and Ahmed in the squad for the first game (and starting in the cup game)

U21s mainly but Elliott may have got a few mins. No triallists used.

Any ideas of tickets sold for tomorrows game against Pompey? Should be more desirable the the Swansea games we used to get every final pre season!
Would expect a fair few traveling from the South coast so maybe anywhere from 6,000 to 9,000?

Looks like the Pompey game isn't available on Royals TV... is it showing anywhere else?
