This is turgid.

Over 235 minutes since Reading last scored at home v Wimbledon.

Wing can occasionally come and pick up the ball from deep in defence without being the one tasked with screening the defence.

I want our most creative player in positions where he can create.

But hey, you guys and Noel keep doing you I suppose.

Watching that 1st half, reminded me of numerous halves I saw during the Burns era. I'm not blaming the manager but you can see that these guys are not on the same wavelength. Danny K looks very good. if we can get him running at their defenders then there could be a goal from that. Kelv E is not a striker, get him back on the left, put Garcia at LB, take Jacobs off, PLEASE.

Who got beaten in the air for the goal? I couldn't tell.

Very frustrating. 25 minutes of being on top without creating a lot, apart from the glorious 3 on 2 Ehibhatiomhan unselfishly gives Garcia a (slightly awkward) tap in to a free goal rather than shoot as expected, and its utterly fluffed.

I turn off for 5 minutes to get off my train and we're 1-0 down completely against the run of play.

Not impressed with Jacob. Like the look of Fraser, but if he plays it should be deeper instead of Wing or when we're going to be soaking up pressure and defending a lot.

Kyerewaa is direct but unpolished, lovely nutmeg and run, thought he was going to fluff it but good ball to Kelvin.

Ahmed looking ok, but has certainly been tested... I think Abrefa would have been a better safer choice.

Garcia continues to reinforce my belief he isn't a winger.

We desperately need some people who not they're doing upfront. Even the bright Kyerewaa looks like he's making it up as he goes along. Elliott and or Doyle need to come on fairly swiftly.

Too many shit balls over the top when there hasn't been a run or its overhit or underhit.

Yes, this Jacob bloke seems to be out of his depth in L1. Not impressed with him last week but then I don’t think Garcia is a LB either. What happened to Ryan?

Is Ryan the academy kid?

I've got a nagging concern that Hunt will be gone by Christmas. He's got his tactics and selection wrong today. We're going long and their defence is eating up the long balls for dinner. We need to play it on the deck and move the ball about, but have left Elliott and Doyle on the bench.

I know Selles was a slow starter, but you could see what he was trying to do, and he learned relatively quickly to dial down his style and have an extra central midfielder which helped turn our season around. But even that was diet/pragmatic Selles ball which stuck to his principles.

I'm not sure Hunt has a similar vision about how we should play, and we have a newly assembled squad trying to figure it out for themselves. That's not a recipe for success, and we will lose to teams of less talented players.

Agreed. I don't want him gone either but I have a feeling that the Yank won't put up with this for too long. I didn't see the game during the week, was Doyle any good? What's his position?

Why would he go long when there’s no proper target man? WiFi just isn’t a striker which is something Noel should have learnt last season.

Game turned when they realised they could push our lot around physically.

Kyerewaa is a fun little fella.

You could see that even on the counter 3 vs 2 that Kelv E had no confidence in finishing it himself. We need a striker, and quickly.

Wing reminds me of a L1 Gerrard. Can score screamers and put in all action performances, but also loves to try Hollywood passes and has days where it's frustrating.

We played well on Tuesday without him, and perhaps that's because we played through the midfield more instead of looking for the big pass over the top.

Almost 60 minutes played and still ZERO shots on target. These problems need to be resolved quick.

That's a bit misleading. Garcia had a gilt edged chance.
