tidus_mi2 Part of me wants us to lose 5-2 again just because of how ridiculous it would be to lose 5-2 away to Bolton 3 seasons in a row.

I wouldn’t have started either. But I think it’s a bit of a sign of the mixed up thinking to bring them both into the first 11 when they hadn’t previously played a league minute in the 2 games we’ve played

FWIW I don’t think either did particularly badly but it’s a confused message. Esp when Abrefa has been good previous two games and didn’t deserve to be dropped.

Agree, although I think Garcia continues to be poor on the wing.

Yeah and how did he miss that opportunity against the Wombles? Shirley you'd have stuck that one away SR.

1) I'd have been on the treatment table
2) were I not on the treatment table I'd have not had the pace stamina to have run into the box
3) if I played and somehow got there, I think I'd have air kicked.

But then I'm utter shit at XIs, so this doesn't excuse him. It was an awkward height and maybe a surprise. But its a baaaaad miss. He got solid connection and it was miles away.

It was a poor finish but between the 3 of them they screwed that up. Pass behind Kelvin so he couldn’t shoot, horrible bobbly cross from him and a less than impressive final attempt from Garcia

The crowd in y24/5 where I was groaned when Kelvs cross came over, more than the actual miss

I think that the 2 is increasing the odds quite a lot

If either Plymouth or Peterborough lose tonight (home to Orient & Barnsley respectively) we are off the bottom.

Sutekh How to follow the game

  1. Get a ticket and travel to the game
  2. NOW App/Sky Sports Football
  3. Listen to Radio 5 Live and/or a myriad of other radio stations for score flashes
  4. Ring/text a mate for updates
  5. Use an RoyalTV subscription
  6. BBC Radio Berkshire (FM : 104.4, 104.1 or 95.4 depending where you are in the area)

This match is also the commentary game on TalkSport tomorrow (I heard it advertised earlier on today)

Its a "main game" on sky rather than usual red button so should be one of the better commentators with replays/pundits etc

Its like last season the team picked itself as we only had a handful of players, now we seem to have plenty of cover it looks like Noel has no clue what his best eleven is!!
Coppell's teams picked themselves every game. Footballers should be able to play two games a week period!! Play your best eleven every game!! barring injuries, suspensions, fatigue or lack off form play your first eleven. To much tinkering creates confusion.

Does Noel know his best eleven? I don't think so, to much tinkering of the full back's, not sure of his midfield three and still unsure of his striker up top.

My First Eleven:

Periera - First choice all day long.
Abrefa - Clearly now is the time for him to nail down the spot, Ahmed's time will come.
Burns - Good player deserves the spot.
Williams - Way better than Stickland. Noel will have a decision to make when Purdie is fit.
Jacob - Controversial, but think he will get better.
Wing - Picks himself and is the captain, my concern would be where we play him in the middle.
Savage - Started the season slowly but we all know he is a class player.
Elliot - For me, once he gets to full fitness he will be our most influential player.
Lane - Our best right winger.
MOM - Tough one this, with service i think he will come good.
Kyerewaa - Not scared to run at the defense and that a good thing. Kelvin.E doesn't get in the game enough for me.

Wycombe Royal Things I don't want to see at Bolton:
1) Wing playing just in front of the back 4. He is wasted there.
2) Defensive midfielders playing in attacking positions
3) Significant amounts of long balls
4) Michael Stickland
5) Matty Jacob
6) Garcia on the left wing
7) An over-reliance on Wing. We always seem to look to get him the ball. It is disrupting our play. In some ways we might be better without him in the side as it would bring others into the game and allow space for both Elliot and Doyle in the midfield

Things I do want to see at Bolton:
1) Derrick Williams starting
2) Garcia at left back
3) Fraser at CDM
4) Doyle starting
5) Playing through the midfield and utilising the wide areas more
6) Ehibhatiomhan at left wing
7) O'Mahony starting, but only because we have no other option at this time.
8) Quicker movement of the ball and better running off the ball.

That's the problem, we're not capable of moving the ball quickly and the lack of movement is alarming

Hound My eyesight isn’t the best but I think it was Dorsett (and Rushesha) who were warming up with the squad before kick off yesterday - presumably as back ups should someone get injured in the warm up. So I assume Dorsett was fit but left out of Wimbledon

It’s a tough call this, last thing we want to do is make mass changes again but I think we need to do something different

JP
Abrefa Williams Burns Dorsett
Wing savage Doyle
Kyeweraa O Mahony Ehibhatiomhan

Stevens Ryan Stickland Elliott Fraser Garcia Jacob

This but with Camara in for O’Mahony/Ehibhatiomhan. Exactly his sort of game

Also wouldn’t have 50% of the subs bench being LB’s, even if they can cover other areas!
