According to Maidenhead's website they played (and lost) a friendly at home to Bournemouth Sports on Sunday. Can't tell when that was arranged, but it surely must have been some considerable time before they bothered to tell Reading that our game was off.

Pre-season complete, attention turns on Sunday 31st August to the first Southern region Women’s league Premier division match home to Badshot Lea at Arbor Park Slough KO 2pm.

Will be interesting to see how the club has progressed, Badshot Lea were one of two teams significantly worse than Reading women last season, Reading beat them on the final home game of the season 6-2.
