I miss the real McCleary tbh, probably about 90 years old now, but would be great to have the fella back anyway!

My guess is that Matt Ritchie definitely isn't happening and McCleary is the back up plan. 1 year deal, with a coaching element to it.

Why? Would it not be a spectacle? Is that not what was promised?

I don’t think it will happen. Probably a cloud to hide a deal for a slightly younger player behind. Would make signing Ritchtea a more palatable deal.

If he's coming pack to start a transition into a coaching role, this needs to be specified in the announcement because people won't react positively to this.
