WestYorksRoyal I would like to see Orient go down. Sick of losing there

They're one of those teams that when you go there almost knowing you'll get nothing...still in the mix for the playoffs with games in hand but unless we put a run together soon we are gonna miss out again. Consistency really isnt our thing.

totally outplayed and out run from start to finish, dreadful performance. Was Wing in the team today? Danny K is possibly the worst finisher I have ever seen at the club. Lost every second ball, and constantly gave the ball away.

I would absolutely take Wellens as a future manager... even if he's not great for us at least he's not at someone else completely outplaying us.

Give them any more than a week to prepare and it’ll be a **** performance, looking forward to the next international break.

WestYorksRoyal Yes

No, no, he wasn't.

Yes, yes he was. Elaborating a bit more, he was averaging about 1 goal in 3 and was improving the more he played.

Come on now. Two of his 3 goals for us were against Exeter under 18s in the pizza trophy.

I'm not surprised by today, I think I expected it. We won't make the play-offs, but hopefully we can set foundations for next season.

Tbf on our recent good run, none of the performances were especially convincing, so this isn’t a huge suprise

Think we should be changing this side for the next game - get Ritchie and Doyle out for starters. Give Marriott 65-70 mins and then get him off. DK seems to get 90 mins no matter how he plays, that needs to stop

Defence not covered itself in glory but less scope there to make changes unless Derrick is back

Pathetic slow start, that really needs to stop

Back down to 11th still 4 points off the playoffs. GD Knackered again.

Next week’s opponents Barnsley scrambled a 93rd minute winner in a 2-1 at home to Blackpool.

Let’s hope a couple more faces arrive before the window closes.

With Ballard, there at least looked to be a half decent footballer in there even if he couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo whilst with us and, to be fair to him, we were oxf*rd shit the early part of that season. Was it the Shrewsbury debacle he crocked his knee? We shifted formation and looked a different team after that performance.

Management and players sounded suitably annoyed about this mess, hopefully therefore things will be better next week.

No, it was home to Wycombe I believe.

I guess most of these players played at Brisbane Road last season so we didn't have that excuse.

23/24 the sky red button deal wasn’t in place so we officially only had 3 games on to that season

Reading v Derby in January
Oxford v Reading in February
Blackpool v Reading in April

All of which Ballard missed because he was injured.

These were the games he was here for.

Bolton – 16/09/2023 → Saturday
Blackpool – 23/09/2023 → Saturday
Burton Albion – 30/09/2023 → Saturday
Northampton – 03/10/2023 → Tuesday
Leyton Orient – 07/10/2023 → Saturday
Charlton – 21/10/2023 → Saturday
Fleetwood – 24/10/2023 → Tuesday
Portsmouth – 28/10/2023 → Saturday
Bristol Rovers – 07/11/2023 → Tuesday
Shrewsbury – 11/11/2023 → Saturday
Wycombe – 25/11/2023 → Saturday

All the Saturday games were not on the TV. Maybe the Tuesday night games were on the red button.

The Northampton game he can on as a sub for 29 mins.

The fleetwood game he started and played 72 minutes

The Bristol rovers game he was an unused sub.

I stand by my comment.

The 3 people who post the most on here. You, West Yorkshire royal and hound. Of which only hound goes to the games.

There are too many of you arm chair fans chatting bollox on here and it needs calling out.

FDTW has never seen the boy play. how he thinks he can chime in on a conversation between two fans who actually go to games and comment on his abilities is beyond me.

Bitterly disappointed, totally outplayed and a truly woeful performance from Reading that let down the magnificent traveling support of nearly 2000 Reading fans. Almost inexplicable after recent form . Nothing else to say

Ballad put the ball in the net 5 times and hit the post for 6. And we're doing stats? Kinell.

Sometimes you just have to give credit where credits due! Orient did their homework and were by far the better of the two teams. They pressed high which caused chaos with pereira and the back four, they hurried us all around the pitch and they played simple good football!! finally, they had a striker in hot form!!!
As for Reading, we were poor all over the pitch and for some reason kept persisting in playing it out from the back against their high press. Their LB (Archibald) i think had Yids on toast and put in some great out swinging crosses of which one led to Ballards headed second goal.
Our whole midfield were non existent, not sure if this was down to them having a bad day at the office or Orient not letting them get any control. Finally Mr DK, just another example as to why this guy is in Div1!! with his regulation shot which was at least 90 degrees off target
Oh i forgot, why does Pereira keep passing to Dorsett with a player on his heels!! Dorsett is so uncomfortable in tight situations and he really showed he's not a LB.
People have been stating Richardson's best spells as manager was playing a 5-3-2 formation. When Williams is back i really think this could be a good shout! Having three CBs will allow our FBs to be more attacking so i would get rid of Yids and Dorsett which would allow us Garcia on the left and one of Abrefa/Rinhomota or Ahmed on the right. We could even play 5-2-3 both work with the current squad.

Yet they have only won 1 game of their last 7!
Why are we do susceptible to the high press when obviously other teams have coped with it?
You've got to criticise the way we set up, we always start slowly so concede the initiative straight away. As has been already stated on here, our recent run hasn't exactly been convincing performance wise. Thought Richardson would of at least toughened us up if nothing else. Not sure I can think of a game where 1 player has caused us so much damage, 3 goals, 2 disallowed and he hit the post. Unbelievable.
We really are a poor side, especially away from home.
Oh, also, can we sign a decent left back please?
