Kitson12 Personally, I think we'll stay up, semi-comfortably too, however, if worst case scenario occurs and we go down I'll still be here next season still.

Proven right :D

Lest we forget......those lost in action.

Fester Royal
Shoey
Terminal Boredom
Gloria Gooner
Royal Blue
etc etc etc...

To be fair however, on Jan 28th, as we sat in 23rd place and 4 points from safety, it WAS only blind faith that would have allowed anyone to predict what has happened since.

But surely, thats what being a football fan is all about?? Blind faith and total pessimism in equal measures?

I love this game!

Focher what are the odds on Reading to finish top 10 anyone? Despite thinking we will go down i do think it will go one way or the other, either go down with aplomb, or rape the division for the rest of the season.

Focher! Nice call here mate...

Personally, I feel that a vote of thanks to Mr Mc D is in order. Last January, I used to put off looking for Urzzz scores in the games that I couldn't attend. We probably won't make the play offs this season, but he has been a major factor in putting the pride back in the side.

Okay, some people have voted "yes" since I read this in the morning. Pathetic.

+1. I feel so proud of my club at the moment. Probably the most pride since 2007, even though we're not as good. I get the feeling that these players couldn't be doing any better considering their age and other circumstances. As a fan that's what I want to see even more than winning titles and promotion etc.

^^ It occurred to me a couple, maybe three weeks ago: while far from the most successful, this has in a few critical respects been the most valuable sporting season that I've ever experienced as a fan of any ballclub --and I've been at this for a good while and have reaped my own share of the greatest glories on offer to those who live it from this side of the arena, as well as "hang in there" lessons about it never being over 'til it's over, and maybe you don't come out of it with any glory but perhaps at least a measure of self-redemption (which would appear to be just about all that this campaign, in a bottom-line analysis, is going to serve up come the end of it)

Mr Angry To be fair however, on Jan 28th, as we sat in 23rd place and 4 points from safety, it WAS only blind faith that would have allowed anyone to predict what has happened since.

I gave this 'un a brief essay treatment (when people to read that sort of thing in a newspaper, it's called a "think piece," and the originator gets a cut of the action; when done on an Innert0Obz messageboard, it's called "talkin' too much")

Whatever --'av a butcher's if you're of a mind; puts it into words and in some chronological context, and of course it's just one guy's point of view out of many (and I'll give you a hint: Anfield...)

This season and last are slowly cementing my belief that its not always about how you do, but how you get there.

And that there's a real beauty in the road less travelled.

URZZZZZZZZ For the record, I think we'll get knocked out fighting valiantly in the cup quarter finals, and stay up.
