Give anything to be able to clone Michael Gilkes into one of our young players, at the very least the crowd got going when he got the ball.Snowflake Royal wrote:Doyle looks tidy, and the sort of player who should be good. Don’t just get him out the team, terminate his contract for match fixing. THREE sitters missed - is this guy really that shit, or is he missing them deliberately?
Absolute toilet player.
I know people will say you need to give him some credit for getting there and being in those positions, but, for me, he gives the ball away too much as well as missing the sitters. So for that reason, I'm out. Start anyone in his place.
However, I quite like Doyle, maybe I am missing something. I'll pay more attention to him in the next game.
He's comfortable on both feet, but he can't shoot, he can't break with pace, he doesn’t really ever beat his man...
He's a very modern footballer. Technically skillful. Tidy simple passes. Achieves nothing. And I would say at fault for the first goal. If Savage waa in his place, he'd have bust a gut, tracked the guy through the middle, closing him down and making life hard, rather than trotting back gently in his wake.

For once his "We were the better team" that he says after almost every game is right.traff wrote:Just read NH post match comments as was too pissed off before today.
What was he trying to say when we made their keeper look good and he wasn't?
Assume he was referring to our inability (in particular Paddy Lame's) to finish.
Comes off as very bitter and a bit pathetic to me, certainly seems how the Cardiff fans perceived it.
What a way to fire up their keeper for the return fixture, although I don't suspect he is looking that far ahead.
Doyle points back to confidence, form and coaching issues with the team. His G/A output last season would have been good for a top 6 team; he did it with a relegated club. A player in form plays in Ritchie to make it 2-0 a minute before Cardiff equalised.Snowflake Royal wrote:Doyle looks tidy, and the sort of player who should be good. Could just be he was the focal point of chances as he was the best player there, but isn't here.WestYorksRoyal wrote:Doyle points back to confidence, form and coaching issues with the team.
