I think we're all pretty happy with it.Snowball wrote:Not up on Seville’s team. How many of the first 11 played? how many of the first team squad?
A little surprised folks sound flat because our kids lost the second half 2-1 to a serious Europa League team.
On the back of two very solid wins wasn’t that a top result? I was expecting at least a 3/4 goal defeat
Like Reading they played two teams, one in each half. They had good players out there in both. Although some were missing like Ben Yedder, who from pictures looks like he has enjoyed his summer off immensely, and Jesus Navas. They really stepped it up in the second half when Reguillon (who is on loan from Real Madrid and kept Marcelo out for long periods last season) and Nolito were introduced.Snowball wrote:Not up on Seville’s team. That's ok. We don't need a striker according to some people.Hound wrote:finished 0-0. Some good saves from our keepers apparently. Sounds like Baldock had and missed a few chances

Also a clean sheet, so our CB issue is all sorted. Sweet. I would be more concerned if Baldock didn't have the chances to miss.sandman wrote:That's ok. We do need a striker, not many people are doubting that. Priorities are needed in other areas, feasibly we have 5 players that can play upfrontsandman wrote:That's ok. Gomes is now just guessing. He's got no resources and won't be getting any so he's just shuffling about until something sticks, and I can't blame him.Hound wrote:Hmm injury prone John Swift playing his second game of the day, but no sign of Barrow or Novakovich for friendly #2
