Green park station/south Reading station

Seems to have been some activity in the area over the last few weeks (ie lorries dropping dirt!). Is this actually happening at last?

I'd forgotten to post it here but I did have a look at the mythical station site from the train two weeks ago, and there was definitely no change at all from the previous time I posted on 1st May. (I'm no longer travelling on that line, so no further updates from me.)

Yes, but no extra trains, just an extra stop for existing trains.

So I realize this is now nearly a month old, but this somewhat cryptically refers to it as a station marked for 'improvement'. The figure of £10m+ seems to suggest it will be more than just a platform, but then I've no idea how much these things cost.

Latest is that although the "enabling works" started, the station is on hold until the Green Park housing developments start again (i.e. when the economy can support them.) The station's there for the houses, not the business park.

I did hear an estimate of late 2011, bu that's a very rough estimate now.
