If he gets a big budget in the summer I can see them being right up there next season.
a) not being Mourinho
b) being a nice guy
c) not being the permanent boss - so players are more relaxed
Now that c has changed it will be interesting to see if results continue. He will certainly get more time than most there because of who he is.
I agree he's been able to take advantage of being the man after Mourinho and being a uniting figure, a bit like McDermott did, and he's done that very well. Having the real job could be quite different though.
As much as I don't like them, a strong United makes for a better league.
