I can understand not signing say any strikers because there's nobody out there to improve the squad, but right winger? Come on, we don't have one! So surely ANY decent Championship RW will be an improvement? You can't tell me that we couldn't attract a Championship player.londinium wrote:Sickboy wrote:Quite why Coppell constantly fails to listen to the experts on this board I will never know. Why can't he see that 26 years of management experience means absolutely nothing.....there's people on this board that have been watching football for years and they didn't get where they are today by talking rubbish now did they? Since Coppell joined Reading this club has sadly only gone in one direction and I for one have had enough. Oh how I long for our glory days of the 80's/90's.......where did it all go wrong?
Absolutely spot on.
Once again, can I say 'Does any half decent premiership player who would actually improve our squad actually want to come to Reading and are they available if that is remotely the case'?????????
If they don't want to come to Reading then Coppell can't force then, so does he then go and buy inferior players at inflated prices from championship clubs just to fill the gaps?
I can see how well that would go down on here with the majority of moany posters.
I know.West Stand Flash wrote:With injuries we are in a worse position too.
I'd still pay if were were in the Conference South, doesn't come into it.The whole year inn wrote:LOL @ Reading fans paying what they do now for basically watching 90% of the Championship team

If you'd pay what you're paying now to watch in Conference South, you're stranger than I already thought you were.readingbedding wrote:I'd still pay if were were in the Conference South, doesn't come into it.The whole year inn wrote:LOL @ Reading fans paying what they do now for basically watching 90% of the Championship team
Hasn't that £5-£6 million pound rated Hunt bloke been playing half decent and can do a job on the right?Rawlie19 wrote:I can understand not signing say any strikers because there's nobody out there to improve the squad, but right winger? Being a glass half-full sort of chap - and taking into consideration how easily we won the Championship and our subsequent 8th place Prem finish last season - I always tend to give thanks for the season we got to watch a Premier League team at Championship pricesThe whole year inn wrote:LOL @ Reading fans paying what they do now for basically watching 90% of the Championship team

Can anybody help?
Having reluctantly payed a tenner a number of times to see Basingstoke Town this season, I certainly can't help. There's a certain charm to watching football at that level, but you shouldn't even be paying double-figure prices to do so.The whole year inn wrote:This is an incredibly strange responsereadingbedding wrote:I'd still pay if were were in the Conference South, doesn't come into it.The whole year inn wrote:LOL @ Reading fans paying what they do now for basically watching 90% of the Championship team

That's a bit insensitive.West Stand Flash wrote:Spacecruiser. Do you ever go to watch Reading??? Just a question?
Personally, I'll buy the away shirt no matter which league the squad plays. Then again, I live in America, and the price to attend a match, including airfare and lodging, is close to 1000bps.Royal Lady wrote:If you'd pay what you're paying now to watch in Conference South, you're stranger than I already thought you were.readingbedding wrote:I'd still pay if were were in the Conference South, doesn't come into it.The whole year inn wrote:LOL @ Reading fans paying what they do now for basically watching 90% of the Championship team
