Well this is fun! we're now supposedly after this so called Thursday deadline and still total silence It's not like its important or anything lol.....you'd have thought at least one from the following EFL , Reading FC or maybe an "In the Know Journalist" would be passing on some sort of latest info....ah well, i guess we will just have to hurry up and wait!!

Well the possible deadline of 5pm on the 4th Thursday of March has been and gone, so either we're in the clear for this season or that rule never applied to our situation.

So doesn't really answer anything yet.

We go into the final game safe, put in an absolutely non-existent performance and lose 2-0, then get deducted 6pts the next day to get relegated when a point would have kept us up.

There is no way the Authorities would retrospectively apply a points deduction after the end of a season; thats a massive lae suit waiting to happen!

You'd like to think the delay is a result of the club somehow finding a way of challenging it – which I don't understand why should mean the EFL have to release a statement (as yet anyway) if this is the case.

Personally, I wouldn't say the date applies to us, as we're talking about a suspended deduction and historic issues.

The date was to stop clubs timing things like adminstration to their advantage. Doesn't apply to us.

Whether that's how the FL rules work, don't know.

Think for the sake of general fairness you can’t leave it too late. Even with just 8 games left that’s pushing it imo
