Yesterday Newcastle were trailing by two goals in the 77th minute before going on to win. This is the latest a side has done so at home in the Premier League since Reading against West Brom in January 2013 (82nd minute).

Only four teams have won more home matches in League One this season than Reading

The others

Gylfi Sigurðsson
Alex Pearce
Hal Robson-Kanu
Tariqe Fosu

Ruben got a lot of stick over his subs early on in the season. But his substitutes have had 26 goal involvements for Reading this season, the 6th most in England’s top four tiers.

15 Harvey Knibbs
12 Sam Smith
12 Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan

Three Reading players have hit double figures for goals in the same season for the first time since 2010/11 (Long, Harte & N. Hunt)

Reading’s 4-0 win over Cambridge was the club’s biggest home league win without conceding in 14 years (the 6-0 victory against Peterborough)

And Sam smiths goal in that game was the first time a Reading player had scored in 5 consecutive games since Lucas Joao in 2020

This is the first time in HNA history that the first 7 posts on a thread have been by the same poster.

Probably would have been 8 if I had kept quiet.

Our last three games has seen attendances above 15,000; the first of any three-game run since 2019 (in the league at least). That run started with Rotherham on 23 February (15,958) and ended with Sheffield Wednesday on 3 August (16,319), spanning eight matches. In that gap, we'd only managed two 15,000+ crowds consecutively on three occasions.

I know football only started in 1992  but it should also be noted that Neil Webb scored 4 goals for England.

We've already achieved more points than we finished with in the last 2 seasons (and with same points deductions).

Reading are on a run of scoring in each of their last 6 league away games, the longest run of scoring in successive away league games since the 7 game run in 2020/2021

Was he an academy graduate? Didn’t think we had an academy back then…
But if we are going before academies were a thing You could probably throw ady Williams on the list also

Academy is just a new name and structure for a youth team. Clubs have had youth teams for ages.

Yes I know but what about Reading?. How long have Reading had a youth team? What did we have before the Academy was set up? Did Reading have a youth team in the 80’s/early 90’s ?… Genuine question I don’t know

I believe we had a reserve team which played in the Football Combination, and the youth team played in the South East Counties league....there are league tables and fixtures for all in older programmes.
