He only had 6 months on his contract so I'd guess pretty small.Clyde1998 wrote:First impressions is this is a good signing, who definitely has the potential to improve - the type of signing we should be making. Seems he's a left-sided defender (so can play LB or left CB), with the ability to play as a DM.
Any ideas on what the fee might be?
I'd hazard £300k is very unlikely considering he had 6 months on his contract.Royal Monkey wrote:He came on and played the last 10 mins on Tuesday night at left side of back 3 away at Ipswich, then signs for us Wednesday, perhaps they dropped him off on the way back to Brizzle lol.
City fans all seem happy he has gone especially for a fee as they got him on a free.
They definitely didn’t rate him but hopefully he’ll be good for us dropping down a division?
Read that fee was in the region of £300k but obvs no idea how true that is.
They did rate him about a year ago but from what I can tell the feeling is the club have moved past him i.e. he isn't good enough to be a regular in a side pushing for a Championship play-off spot, which is fair enough.Royal Monkey wrote:He came on and played the last 10 mins on Tuesday night at left side of back 3 away at Ipswich, then signs for us Wednesday, perhaps they dropped him off on the way back to Brizzle lol.

You would have thought that if that was his preferred set up, which from previous claims might well be the case, then I would assume they have already been working on that in training. Paudie is also well versed in a 3 CB's system from his time at Lincoln.Sutekh wrote:Clear option to go 3 at the back now, though would not expect such a move until they’ve had a chance to work on it in training.
Thing is, I'm not convinced Dorsett is good enough for what we want to achieve and being 23, will be 24 at the end of the season, if he's not good enough, we probably need to move him on.South Coast Royal wrote:With Nyambe also signing is there now a bit of a Derby old boys club developing alongside the Wigan one?
I presume this is for our problem left-back position with time being called on Dorsett, especially with Randell Williams and (if he stays) Garcia and even old man Ritchie able to play there if needed.
There will surely be a few leaving over the next couple of weeks and even if we are still shopping in Poundland the owner is backing this manager.
Most decent teams are built from the back and even if Marriott and Keane are probably not long term options they will do for this season and possibly next but we are surely going to bring in another or is Kelvin now deemed to be a striker?
Good info thank you. Sounds like a great signing then. Well done all at RFC.WestYorksRoyal wrote:It's only a game, but if FM26 is anything to go by he's an unreal signing. I signed him on a free when we got promoted to the Championship, and he survived my ruthless cull when I wanted to build a promotion worth squad.
Is Roberts actually still with them? Transfermarkt has him down as a different agency, but Omnisports does show him on their website. Either way, it's probably the link we've used to sign him.TiagoIlori wrote:Both signings from yesterday come from Richardson and Beattie’s agent who was also involved with Garry Monk’s controversial transfer dealings. Looks like NXXTPlay his claimed current agent have posted on their website about him while Omnisports haven’t said anything (they did on instagram over Nyambe) so inclined to think he recently changed agent based on thatkwik-silva wrote:Is Roberts actually still with them?
