Everton were the latest side to secure a comfortable league victory over the Royals and leave Reading deep in relegation trouble. There was plenty of effort on show from Reading, but Everton looked the better quality side throughout and their win made it four straight defeats for Reading - three of which have come in the league. Everton were a goal up by half time and added two more in the first part of the second half leaving the game already over before Robson-Kanu scored a consolation goal with six minutes left to play.
