Reading moved into sixth place in the Championship table with a fourth consecutive victory - their third straight league win. Reading were 3-2 winners over Millwall thanks to two goals from Simon Cox at each end of the match and a goal from Nick Blackman inbetween who followed up his goal at the weekend.
Reading took a two goal lead after just 14 minutes. Simon Cox put Reading ahead on six minutes and then Blackman was taken down inside the area seven minutes later before stepping up and scoring the penalty. In an exciting first half that saw plenty of chances for both sides the visitors were back in the game just before half time with a goal to make it 2-1 and set-up an interesting second half. Millwall equalised nine minutes into the second half making it 2-2 and putting victory within reach of either side.
However, it was Reading that made it count at the end. The crucial goal was from the head of Simon Cox, following a corner, with six minutes left to play to earn Reading the full three points.
