No disrespect but how many times have you seen us this season? Rodgers doesn't know his best team and seems to pick players from a hat or when they complain about not being in the team i.e. Cisse and Cummings. We may well survive but it will be down to others in a very poor league and not ourselves. The performances are poor and the manager is not experienced enough. R.F.C. is not a place where rookie managers can learn the game anymore, as it was with McGhee and Pardew and especially not under the circumstances the club currently face.

Cisse came in to replace the injured Howard. He was on the bench previously and rodgers said he chose him over Jem for the starting place against wednesday because of his size to counter Wednesdays direct approach
As for Cummings coming back into the side, we lost a fullback to illness on the day of the game. Stretch might have been the alternative, but he is clearly being eased back to fitness after a serious knee injury
why is RFC not the place for rookie managers?

IdealJimmy the Tree Even if he wanted to sack him, he knows he can't as we can't afford to pay off his contract and get a new man in.
Bullshit.
We can afford it if we want to. We are not in debt, we are financially viable.

If Armstrong was fit for the bench he should be able to start ahead of a left winger. I don't think that it is a coincedence that after weeks of being on the bench and not getting on the pitch Cisse is suddenly recalled. Especially after he complained in the week leading up to the match about not playing.
We have become relatively well established at this level but to stay there you need a manager who has experience in handling a tight budget. Who doesn't waste money on Centre-backs who don't play and others who clearly aren't up to the job (Cummings). A manager who has the experience to take on board criticism and not to just ignore it and lose his cool. The lower leagues are the place for rookies to get experience i.e. the stated examples of McGhee and Pards. We aren't in the lower leagues anymore and that is why I believe that RFC should have gone for experience.

Royal Rother TB, will you be at the scene of your most enjoyable football experience this season or will your masochistic auto pilot drive you to J11 this afternoon?

sandman Stretch was fit enough. If he wasn't then we basically had six subs which would put us at a disadvantage.

Not as big a disadvantage as if he was starting!!!!
We didnt have any other better alternatives than a semi fit Stretch for the bench, if he was fit enough i cant see even Rodgers would swap his right back to left back to bring in a right back he dropped to cover a left back whilst he had a perfectly fit one sat on the bench

sandman I didn't say he was fully fit I said he was fit enough to play it was you who speculated about the amount of time he could play. Rodgers was asked during the week if Cummings was unhappy about being dropped and hey presto he's in the team. Also, O'Dea has played left back before and would have been an option when Stretch ran out of gas.

Cummings was in because Bertrand had to pull out due to illness. Put your little conspiracy book away.
