A crowd of just 48 at Bracknell for that one.

As well as losing 26 of 27 league games, they've also lost all 4 cup games by an aggregate of 20-1. That's 129 goals against in 31 games.

The twitter updates on the Bracknell site didn't happen for that game, as their front page says "Unfortunately there will be no twitter tonight from Larges Lane as some thieving scumbag has stolen my phone."

Four Of Clubs HEADS UP - for those who were considering going to Scours THIS Saturday (6th)
... can't confirm anything yet BUT it appears Highmoor/IBIS are supposed to be playing a Reading Senior Cup Tie @ Scours KO 14:00 vs Flackwell Heath.
If this is the case, it must put the forthcoming RTFC v Shrivvy game in doubt, I 'd have thought? :?
The Shrivenham website IS NOT showing their League match at Scours as a forthcoming fixture now?
I'll investigate further and report back. Nothing showing up on the Official fixture site yet. I'd be surprised if this competition takes priority over an Hellenic Premier Game - it's not exactly 'County Level'?

I read about this game in the media and was also slightly confused. I'm hoping they mean the game will be played at the Prudential IBIS Club further up the Lane, where Highmoor/IBIS usually play. I've asked the question on the RTFC forum and will post the answer on here. But it you hear something, FOC, please let us know!

... see RTFC thread elsewhere on here - may be 2+2=5 etc - Flackwell's site merely stated the game was at 'Scours Lane' - and naturally their league game has been postponed.
- the real 'oddity' which threw me was that Shrivenham weren't showing the Hellenic game v Reading Town in their 'Next Fixtures' section for this Saturday - though they do show matches for their Reserves and A teams. :?

Like others I can't believe RTFC would have to make way for Highmoor/Ibis just for a Reading Senior Cup game - as suggested the IBIS club is also on Scours Lane so it might just be that, that's caused the Red Herring?

I wonder how many confused Flackwell Fans will find themselves in the wrong ground! :?

... maybe somebody from Highmoor or RTFC could be kind and put up a lurid poster - pointing people to the correct fixture?

If you mean my reference to Bracknell dropping down to STEP05 - I'm using the (admittedly confusing) Pyramid NL standard of STEPS - where STEP01 is National Conference i.e. the top of the NL Pyramid below the Football League and STEP05 equates to the Hellenic Premier - where the Robins could/would end up next season.

Bracknell are indeed at LEVEL 8 in the Southern Division One South & West - where LEVEL 1 is the Premiership.

Clear as Mud? 8) ... and don't call me ...... etc etc

This weeks NL games involving 'local' sides - with a 'free Saturday' some of you might have a good chance to dip into the Pyramid - give it a go - you might like it - if you don't already! :D

CONFS
Basingstoke Town v Lewes
Weston-Super-Mare v Maidenhead United
Woking v Staines Town
.. and
Worcester City v Hampton and Richmond Borough
Weymouth v Newport County

SOUTHP
Didcot Town v Farnborough
SOUTH1M
Marlow v Biggleswade Town
Romulus v Burnham
Slough Town v Soham Town Rangers - @ Beaconsfield SYCOB
SOUTH1SW
Abingdon United v Cinderford Town
Bracknell Town v Bridgwater Town
Cirencester Town v Bedfont Green
Taunton Town v Hungerford Town
Thatcham Town v Andover
Windsor & Eton v Paulton Rovers
... and
AFC Totton v Bishops Cleeve

CCLP
Ash United v Banstead Athletic
Badshot Lea v Chertsey Town @ Cherrywood Rd , Farnborough FC
Cove v Sandhurst Town

Guildford City v North Greenford Utd - put this one on cos its free entry :) - away side are League leaders, three points above Camberley Town?

- here's the bit from their website - not one of the best NL grounds around - They currently have to play at the Spectrum Leisure centre which is a big Athletics Bowl so you are a fair way from the action. Ground is about a mile east along the A25 from the town centre.

Free Entry Fixture

In a bid to reach out to more people in the Guildford area and hopefully persuade some first time visitors to come back again, the club are pleased to announce that all supporters attending the Guildford City v North Greenford United fixture at Spectrum on Saturday 6 March will gain entry for free.

CCL1
Farnham Town v Crescent Rovers
Hartley Wintney v Mole Valley SCR
Worcester Park v Eversley

HELLP
Binfield v Kidlington
Marlow United v Ascot United @ Wilkes Park, Flackwell Heath
Reading Town v Shrivenham
HELL1E
Chalfont Wasps v Henley Town
Finchampstead v Newbury
Milton United v Chinnor
South Kilburn v Woodley Town
Thame United v Holyport
Wokingham & Emmbrook v Didcot Town Reserves

The 'Bluefin' - Insurance Brokers Challenge Cup Round 2
Eton Wick v Abingdon Town KO 14:30h
Reading Senior Cup Quarter Final
Highmoor Ibis v Flackwell Heath - KO 14:00h

WESSEX1
Farnborough North End v Whitchurch United
Tadley Calleva v Fleet Spurs
United Services Portsmouth v AFC Aldermaston

I've given my Lad the choice of games tomorrow - he's actually chosen a 'top three' but from the list above he's 'ticked' the one at US Portsmouth - he primarily goes for goals - the home side have often been this divisions' 'flat-track bullies' i.e. they knock lots of goals in against the cr@p sides but suffer against anyone half decent - and AFC are rock bottom with no points :? In US Portsmouth's 31 League games there have been 136 goals  - however I quite fancy the game at Chalfont Wasps and its a bit nearer.

Fantastic preview as per usual FOC. Oh, and for the record Reading Town are definately taking Shrivenham on at Scours Lane. The Highmoor/IBIS v Flackwell Heath cup game will take place at the Prudential IBIS Club. Perhaps if with a few more Nobbers in attendance, Town can reap the rewards of their first 100+ crowd this season!

W&E 4-0 Paulton Rovers. An enjoyable game and good to meet up with Terminal Boardom again down at The Meadow.

Very tough and tight game against the team in 3rd for the most part. For the first 5 minutes and the last 15 we looked like we could score with every attack, but in between it was very even, and actually, although Paulton seemed to lack a real threat in front of goal, Bullivant had far more saves to make during the game than their 'keeper.

But in the spell where we broke them (3 goals in about 15 minutes) we were bleedin' awesome.

Although he only came on as a sub, missed a couple of games recently having broken his hand, Andrew Fagan is absolute class, a rock in the centre of defence, right back last season, but a more than capable midfielder - so calm in possesion, deceptively quick and I love the way he just ghosts pasts the full back when he's on an overlap. My POTS.

Bruce Wilson's free kick was something to behold - we had no idea he was going to go for goal; well outside the area, he just looked to stride up ready to deliver the ball into the area then suddenly the ball seemed to accelerate in mid-air like an exocet and thundered onto the underside of the cross bar and over the line. A cracking strike!

Chennells could easily have bagged another hat-trick today and I should imagine he'll be feeling a little disappointed he only got the one. His mazy dribble late on where he left 3 defenders spinning in the turf deserved a goal but the 'keeper made just about his only proper save of the game.

Ex Torquay defender David Woozley (now a fireman) had a very steady debut - looks strong and assured with a no nonsense approach.

Totton also won 4-0 so the gap remains at 16 points and Totton are still facing a very taxing schedule with 2 and 3 games a week here on in so promotion as Champions is looking more and more likely. Trouble is, I do suspect Keith Scott, with his professional playing background and management success at Windsor, is likely to be offered a Conference job at the very least next season. W&E have bugger all money so he would have to go with everyone's thanks and best wishes but one can only guess at the effect his departure would have on the team.

Oh well, in the meantime, we are just savouring every moment of this season.

W&E are at home to Gosport on Tuesday. Come on down!

The free kick was quite something. I never saw it! It flew like an exocet as RR said. And a huge lol at Paulton Rovers half time routine. One of the most bizarre exhibitions I have ever seen. And their young sub who came on left wing for them. I swear he hasn't started to shave yet!

One of the prettiest non league venues in the country. Just avoid the coffee. Today was the worst I have ever had!

Today's results from our 'local' NL sides:

CONFS
Basingstoke Town 1-1 Lewes
Weston-Super-Mare 1-4 Maidenhead United - 1-0 down at h/t
Woking 0-0 Staines Town
.. and
Worcester City 0-1 Hampton and Richmond Borough
Weymouth 1-3 Newport County - Exiles 24 points clear with only 9 games left - no wonder the Bookies are reportedly already paying out

SOUTHP
Didcot Town 1-2 Farnborough - att 384 ' boro 11 points clear 2 games in hand
SOUTH1M
Marlow 0-0 Biggleswade Town
Romulus 0-1 Burnham - mornings' leaders Hitchin lost @ Chesham - Burnham now top. :)
Slough Town 2-0 Soham Town Rangers
SOUTH1SW
Abingdon United 1-1 Cinderford Town
Bracknell Town 2-5 Bridgwater Town
Cirencester Town 5-2 Bedfont Green
Taunton Town 0-0 Hungerford Town
Thatcham Town 1-3 Andover
Windsor & Eton 4-0 Paulton Rovers
... and
AFC Totton 4-0 Bishops Cleeve

CCLP
Ash United 2-3 Banstead Athletic
Badshot Lea 1-2 Chertsey Town
Cove 1-1 Sandhurst Town
Dorking 1-1 Camberley Town
Guildford City 3-1 North Greenford Utd - surprise defeat for the league leaders not sure if there was a 'crowd factor' what with it being 'free-entry'. I won't see the attendance for this one till sometime tomorrow when I get sent the CCL Bulletin.
CCL1
Farnham Town 4-1 Crescent Rovers
Hartley Wintney 0-1 Mole Valley SCR
Worcester Park 0-2 Eversley - superb result at the league leaders - 2nd place Staines Lammas won 4-0 this PM, have drawn level on points - and may be eligible for promotion (unlike Worcs Park - no lights) since they've entered a groundshare agreement for next season with Ashford Town (Middx).
There's now an 8 point gap back to Hartley Wintney in 3rd - so Lammas may go up if they can stay top two and the groundshare was arranged in time?

HELLP
Binfield 6-1 Kidlington att:109 - Huge win against the team just above them in the table - The 'Moles' have now won 6 in a row and are at home again on Monday night vs Shrivenham - might be worth sneaking out for?

Marlow United 0-2 Ascot United - Ascot's improved form continues - should pull away from the drop zone - they now have a run of 7 consecutive home games.

Reading Town 5-0 Shrivenham att: only 75 though?
HELL1E
Chalfont Wasps 4-2 Henley Town
Finchampstead 1-2 Newbury
Milton United 1-1 Chinnor
South Kilburn 0-3 Woodley Town
Thame United 1-0 Holyport
Wokingham & Emmbrook 5-0 Didcot Town Reserves att: 75

The 'Bluefin' - Insurance Brokers Challenge Cup Round 2
Eton Wick 0-3 Abingdon Town KO
Reading Senior Cup Quarter Final
Highmoor Ibis 1-3 Flackwell Heath

WESSEX1
Farnborough North End 3-3 Whitchurch United
Tadley Calleva 2-2 Fleet Spurs
United Services Portsmouth 4-0 AFC Aldermaston

We ended up at Barnet Copthall Stadium for Spartan South Mids Premier: Kentish Town 3-2 Hanwell. Surprise win for the strugglers - their recent fortunes have been significantly improved by the return of a former player after a spell... 'At Her Majesty's Pleasure' :?
Surreal setting - giant Athletics arena - match watched by approx 15 paying customers - no bar :( but quite a nice Hot Food counter - good sausage & bacon Baps. M25 was a complete b@stard as usual though.

Bracknell Town 2-5 Bridgwater Town

Stunned, Bracknell scored a goal, in fact they racked up 2, that almost doubles their total for the season... :?

United Services Portsmouth 4-0 AFC Aldermarston

Went to this as I was down for Pompey v Birmingham and the USP Ground was in the City Centre next to the rail connections. Had to leave at 2-0, after an hour or so due to other commitments in the Royal County in the evening. Enjoyable, must be the lowest level game i've ever seen.

AFC were 1-0 down within 2 minutes, their 'keeper run out to try and clear a ball which found the winger who crossed and the striker mishit a shot in off a post into an empty net. 2-0 at Half time, with AFC just not managing to be able to defend.

I counted 17 in attendance, and just like Kentish Town, it was in essence an Athletics Ground, one nice stand holding 500, and a Navy Bar.

Hot off the press from Stag Meadow:

WINDSOR & Eton have sent an official letter applying for Ryman Premier League status for next season providing they gain promotion.

The Royalists are top of the Southern League Division One South & West at the moment but are not counting their chickens, only assessing their options and the possibility of switching across which of course is not guaranteed.

Should they reach the Premier Division, travel wise, it would appear to make much more sense to play in the Ryman League and is likely to increase the number of visiting fans to Stag Meadow.

Chairman Peter Simpson confirmed after Saturday's impressive 4-0 victory over third placed Paulton Rovers that he had written to both the Zamaretto Southern League and Ryman Isthmian League.

He commented: "I have written to both the Southern League and the Ryman League, The Ryman League said they would welcome us with open arms and it is our spiritual home. I have not heard back from the Southern League as yet."

Not quite - it is on HMS Temerarie (sp) the entrance being on Burnaby Road which has a few Uni buildings and Students Union round the corner, by the time you walk to the actaul pitch, you're almost by the entrance to the Gunwharf Quay
