Any club would boast about winning the FA Cup regardless of circumstances. You can bet your arse RFC fans would.Friday's Legacy wrote:whilst i agree to a point, i do disagree about feeling sorry for their fans. they were more than happy to gloat with their fa cup that they cheated their way too, and still sing about it, even after the last 3 years of two administrations and a failed cva.Hoop Blah wrote:Wouldn't mind us doing something similar with David Norris.
Pompey are one of my least favourite clubs, but even though they've 'cheated', they've only been doing what 90% of other teams have been doing as well (including us if it wasn't for being able to sell enough cash worth of players to cover it, and that's a gamble).
I agree the football community probably needs a club the size of Pompey to go to the wall for them to realise that it's got out of hand, but I'd still feel a bit sorry for the fans for losing their club. As someone else said earlier in the thread it would be a much better outcome to see them sink through the leagues getting beaten week-in week-out whilst getting their house in order.
indeed, and if we had won it under the same circumstances then we would also deserve all the stick we get as well. thankfully any new club wont be able to keep the previous clubs trophies.M-U-R-T-Y wrote:Any club would boast about winning the FA Cup regardless of circumstances. It'd still have lots of positives and no negatives. And given our record against Pompey I'm not sure beating them is that likely.Compo's Hat wrote:Too much hype about this. If the top three all win their next two games then we would no longer go second should Pompey's points be wiped.
oh i dont know. they've just lost liam lawrence and their main striker. they haven't been paid since december and wont again this season. if we get a nice early goal then their heads and hearts drop.Ian Royal wrote:It'd still have lots of positives and no negatives. Well he would, wouldn't he - you can bet he'd keep quiet if the Sham were benefitting.Friday's Legacy wrote:big sam says "it's grossly unfair" if west ham lose 6 points if pompey can't finish the season. i'd say that was the icing on the cake myself.
Absolutely seeing his fat dough pcunt face on SSN just now made me all the more certain that the only answer here is liquidation for PompeyFriday's Legacy wrote:big sam says "it's grossly unfair" if west ham lose 6 points if pompey can't finish the season. i'd say that was the icing on the cake myself.

what's more, they will reform with a new club and the same fans will support their club, albeit a new club, and like afc wimbledon they will be back in the football league in 10 years time. but they wont have there fa cup honour to crow about!
in short: bollocks to them!
rumours also that they could reform as a new club next season and ground share with waterlooville.
Obviously we take the lion's share, but I think we can mention Fulham & Pompey for at least half assists.M-U-R-T-Y wrote:... You can't blame anyone but us for being relegated.
Wouldn't it be poetic justice if West Ham, who unfairly stayed in the premiership despite breaking the rules over Tevez, unfairly stayed in the Championship because their points against another cheating club were deducted? It's a beautiful world sometimes. No doubt they'd put in a long-drawn-out appeal ...Friday's Legacy wrote:big sam says "it's grossly unfair" if west ham lose 6 points if pompey can't finish the season. i'd say that was the icing on the cake myself.
Except it'd only be unfair if it was only their points which were expunged.facaldaqui wrote:Wouldn't it be poetic justice if West Ham, who unfairly stayed in the premiership despite breaking the rules over Tevez, unfairly stayed in the Championship because their points against another cheating club were deducted?
