It's a fair point. All I can honestly find online is "claims" he abused grieving tourists. None of these tourists seem to have stepped forward and though that's hardly evidence for the contrary, it does seem to be a corroborated version of events.

Personally, I'd be more surprised if it wasn't true the f/cking pissy cocked klingon.

I'm pretty sure JT was merely involved in sarcasm and banter like usual

I feel like Johnnie Cochran defending OJ Simpson tbh, only without the sizeable fees to take the edge off my moral guilt.

TBF - if I'd have been on the piss that day - I wouldn't have stopped due to the planes crashing. Just poor timing imo. If they were on the piss the day before they would have probably acted in exactly the same way but not much would have been made of it.

What he actually said was: "Oi Yanks, I didn't say I'm glad thousands of your countrymen died in screaming agony at the hands of some suicidal Islamists."

John Terry I am very clear about what I said and what I didn't say. I want to make it absolutely clear that I did not use the words that have been attributed to me."

Rumpole Imagine it as a glass of water:

If the glass is 51% full the FA can find him guilty
If the glass is 90% full the courts can find him guilty

So, a 70% full glass would see him guilty by the FA, but not by the courts

I'm not passing judgment on guilt, or otherwise, just explaining the concept.

All those years at the Bailey have really worked :D

Ideal And if the glass is full of piss, chances are John Terry has been sat at your table.

If it's half empty Ashley Cole was there too

Or if it's sat on a doily it's Frank Lampards.

It was an independent panel though?

Surprised he didn't get 8 games though, as I'm sure Kes will tell us, that's the standard punishment

Will be interesting to compare the written verdict as naturally that should explain why Terry’s ban is shorter.
