I can take or leave the big spending, that's just funny when it goes tits up, but to employ both Neil Warnock and Harry Redknapp is enough to make me hate any club.

Has any club ever done the triumvirate of evil that is Warnock, Redknapp & Alladyce? Could QPR be the first?

That does beg the question: Your team are looking for a new manager, there are only 3 candidates - Warnock, Allardyce and Redknapp. Who would you rather have?

Easy one, I'd take Warnock

Love to hate the guy, but have a bit of a soft spot for him as a manager too

Royal Rother Are you SERIOUSLY putting Reading's spending patterns in the same league as QPRs?

Anyway, essentially it's all to do with the Tredder factor.

Yes, of course I am serious-relatively speaking our spending was enormous.
Caskey cost us nearly £1 million not far off 20 years ago followed by Forster, Butler and Murty all costing big money in subsequent years-people choose to forget the fortunes that our club spent in the past when we were at the lower levels and that was without the Premier League fortunes and parachute payments that we and QPR have received in the past 2 seasons.

Me too, although I'd rather go with none and have a player manager.

QPR announce losses of £65.4m for the last financial year and could face a transfer embargo if they don't get promoted, as they will fall foul of the financial fair play rules.

Not this year they won't as the rules don't come into force until the 2013/14 financial accounts are out, which should be after December.

However i can't see them reducing their loss by enough to comply as they have continued paying high wages this season as well. Maybe their owners comapny will come up with a sponsorship deal to boost their revenues by a few tens of millions......

QPR

Just posted losses of £65million and £177Milion in debt, that was to May last year, and things have got worse since! Are they going to be another Pompey,so glad we are better managed under SJM despite the Anton situation. You can not just spend, spend ,spend, it does not work.

What would Harry do if he had no money to spend in transfer windows? I like the way Fernandez reckons he has been exploited I mean it's not as if he was forced to pay the money? And the small matter of a hundred million for a new training ground and four hundred million for a new ground! Good luck Tony

We definitely went through a period where we racked up Forster at 650,000, Butler at £750,000, Murty at £600,000 but add to that players like Sean Evers at £500,000. Coupled with that we could splash out sums in the region of £250,000 - £400,000 almost at will on players like Phil Whitehead, Jamie Cureton, James Harper and Tony Rougier whilst still slumming it in League 2. We definitely had a reputation for being a moneybags club in League 2. I reckon our side that came up in 2002 cost in the region of £5m to put together.
