I don't think your games are bad...but Reading fans do seemingly.

Tough fixture in round 2 though. Rochdale are 9th in league one, but have lost the last two in the league following three wins and a draw so a bit of a mixed bag form-wise.

AthleticoSpizz Only a couple of "stand-outs" in the second round

Col U v Peterboro
Monkeyhangers v Blyth

pretty much loads of mileage involved for the rest

Marlon Harewood will not be progressing this season

Monkeyhangers 1 Spartans 2

Kaspars Gorkss played for Colchester last night - and had a very good game.

Just read online that their chairman is hopeful of a cup run so they can afford to keep him a while longer yet - good to see him back with a club.

Gr8 draw IMO with 5-6 stand out ties, i.e.

Arsenal - Hull
Stoke - Wrexham
West Brom - Gateshead
Dover - Palace
AFC Wimbledon - Liverpool
Yeovil/Accrington - United

Just had my enthusiasm for it squashed slightly by the realisation that ties will be played "3rd-6th January"...with other comments about how there's a full PL schedule on New Year's Day resulting in ties with PL clubs being played on the 4th, does that mean we could see an FA Cup 3rd Round where less than half the games are actually played on the Saturday? Poor form, if so.

Blyth v Birmingham has banana skin written all over it too.

Could be a few upsets this round.

We've got our usual awful draw.

3 It will be announced that all Premier League clubs will play away to lowly opposition in the FA Cup third round

Who actually cares that last year’s finalists, Arsenal and Hull City, face each other this Sunday? The thrilling games in this year’s third-round fixture list see Manchester United travel to Yeovil, Crystal Palace to Dover and Swansea City to Tranmere. So why can’t the third round be seeded, to ensure that clubs from League One and lower will always get a home tie against a side from the £1bn division? Heaven knows, they need the cash boost that would bring. The competition would also be flooded with colour.

From a wish list in the Independent - would this be a good idea? Would certainly bring the romance back to the Cup, but would in all likelihood see the bigger teams sew up a monopoly on the latter stages of the competition. Some of the runs of smaller teams to the semi-finals in recent seasons (Millwall comes to mind) have been on the back of favourable draws.

the thing is an away tie is usually more lucrative for the small teams, as the ticket sales get shared 50/50.

Another Kaspars Gorkss alert; He should be playing for Colchester at Cardiff in the FA Cup tonight. Live on BBC2 Wales (Freesat channel 971) for anyone wanting another football fix.

Cardiff have apparently sold 2,000 tickets for the game.

ROFL.

Actual gate quoted as 4,194.

Lowest gate for a game at Cardiff City stadium, beating the previous lowest gate of 5,455 for a League Cup tie versus Dagenham & Redbridge in 2009.

I suspect that there could be some terrible attendance figures this weekend...........

The day that happens will be the final death of the FA Cup. Who the hell wants to see what amounts to seeded draws in the FA Cup and the later rounds even more likely to be full of the "big" teams. It's bad enough that the Premier League is always the same 4/5 (if you're lucky) horse race season after season without it being spread into the FA Cup.

Protest against Tan, which clearly worked....but saying that, I doubt the figure would have been much higher without the protest. The game was also live on BBCWales, which never helps FA Cup attendences.

Why have 4 prem teams managed to play today while the other 16, including the ones with the biggest squads, are all having to play tomorrow?

Not sure why players don't celebrate and just look plain faced. I don't mean when they score against old clubs.

Watching WBA and seeing Borhinio (sp?) score 4 goals yet looked bored was strange.

Yet they destroyed Gateshead but he's still scored 4 goals in a 3rd round FA Cup game.

Yes I wondered what that was all about, is there trouble in the camp?

It wasn't just Berahino, Morrison and Anichebi were equally apathetic about scoring.

Is there a reason the BBC can't be arsed to show many live games this weekend? Fewest amount of live games I can remember on terrestrial for 3rd round weekend.
