eddiegrundy Another Kaspars Gorkss alert; He should be playing for Colchester at Cardiff in the FA Cup tonight. Live on BBC2 Wales (Freesat channel 971) for anyone wanting another football fix.

Sanguine 3 It will be announced that all Premier League clubs will play away to lowly opposition in the FA Cup third round
Who actually cares that last year’s finalists, Arsenal and Hull City, face each other this Sunday? The thrilling games in this year’s third-round fixture list see Manchester United travel to Yeovil, Crystal Palace to Dover and Swansea City to Tranmere. So why can’t the third round be seeded, to ensure that clubs from League One and lower will always get a home tie against a side from the £1bn division? Heaven knows, they need the cash boost that would bring. The competition would also be flooded with colour.
From a wish list in the Independent - would this be a good idea? Would certainly bring the romance back to the Cup, but would in all likelihood see the bigger teams sew up a monopoly on the latter stages of the competition. Some of the runs of smaller teams to the semi-finals in recent seasons (Millwall comes to mind) have been on the back of favourable draws.

Mr Angry Actual gate quoted as 4,194.
Lowest gate for a game at Cardiff City stadium, beating the previous lowest gate of 5,455 for a League Cup tie versus Dagenham & Redbridge in 2009.
I suspect that there could be some terrible attendance figures this weekend...........
