Christ, if you can't go into a new season with optimism and enthusiasm, giving everyone a chance to prove themselves, I think you should probably give up on football. You're going to be unbearable during the season if things don't get off to a good start if you already feel like that.Ascotexgunner wrote:I really fear for us this season. Given the dire perfprmances in the latter half of last season. The new additions all add character and experience to the group. The lack of leadership on the pitch was visibly lacking. While the league maybe out of reach. Cup run looks far more achievable.Ascotexgunner wrote:I really fear for us this season. We had very little creativity from midfield. This will be a big season for Swift. He needs to stay injury free and take a step up from last season.Victor Meldrew wrote:Just want to see a few more games where we have more than 0,1 or 2 shots on target (which was too often last season)..
Yeah about the same. Would be nice to stay in touch with the play off places for a bit of intereststrap wrote:If we finish 10th - 14th, AND play with a bit more passion, AND actually have some shots on target, (is 4-6 a game too much to ask for?), then for me it will have been a successful season.
Frendlies are a fitness excercise. with 3 more very challenging games coming up it`s looking likely we may go into the new season without a win.TheSpread wrote:So far we've lost to
Eastleigh 2-1 and AFC Wimbledon 4-2 and drew 0-0 v Fulham.
For 3
Against 6.
Worrying times indeed.

Worried? not in the slightest, it`s when the league starts and we are not winning that I will be concrened.
Chill out.
I don't nessecarily agree with that. It's a new manager doing his first pre season. It's about getting his tactics across and ensuring the players are fit for the season.TheSpread wrote:It's all about getting a winning momentum into the season. We haven't won yet.........
