One of their top players, along with doidge. Very quick, tricky and too good for L2.

Think he was too short and too chubby. This chap looks too skinny too me. Maybe ok if beefed up

But this sort of signing could suggest a lack of faith in the likes of Barrett, Frost and maybe Holsgrove stepping up?

Not sure I'd want him to replace Swift and Eja on his own.

Probably missing out a couple of others but generally can't remember too many lower league successes

On the other hand, the number of flops is a lot bigger. J Mills, Akpan, Manset, McNulty, M Williams etc. And this is coming from someone who thinks McNulty has something to offer

I think next year will be make or break for Barrett. He's been bumbling around the scene since mid 2016. If he can't get a chance next season with FFP problems and a manager who likes to promote the youth, I think that'll be au revoir

Don't think Kitson was a punt. He'd been impressing at Cambridge for 3 seasons and had a burgeoning reputation as someone playing well below his true level. IIRC, we also took advantage of Cambridge needing money quick to get him on the cheap.
