Maybe Yiadoms recent injury record is on the clubs mind? If we can't rely on him for a full season, Araruna remains untested and we lose Tmac then Holmes will be needed at CB? I dunno.. could do with a LB though..

Hard to say Holmes isn't a RB when most of his first team appearances have been at RB where he was perfectly adequate.

Also ignores Araruna who we went in to last season happy to have as second choice RB.

It's no where near as bad as having just one very i jury prone senior RB. Remember, we only signed Esteves once both Yiadom and Araruna were out.

Hard to say Holmes isn't a RB when most of his first team appearances have been at RB where he was perfectly adequate.

It's no where near as bad as having just one very i jury prone senior RB. Remember, we only signed Esteves once both Yiadom and Araruna were out.

Holmes is too conservative as FB, turns back inside almost every time. Not his fault because he’s a CB playing at RB but considering how narrow our attackers play, we need more from our FB’s. Really shouldn’t be an option there unless we’re down to the bare bones

Just think people need to remember we have three players who have been either intended to cover RB or done so fairly well when called upon, and money is exceptionally tight, and other positions are higher priority.

Holmes for example could go through next season getting Harley any games if he's 4th choice CB and 4th choice RB. That's not goi g to help him.

Conversely, as a young player, IMO it would be more beneficial to stick to one position and learn it to a higher degree rather than alternating between two positions

Considering that Morrison will only get older (and hence more injury prone and perhaps even more prone to making mistakes) and Holmes is our second choice RCB, there’s the potential for plenty of games for him next season

Two players for each position is about right with perhaps 1/2 extra

Sounds like this guy is a RWB - so could play further forward - some interesting comments on that there Twitter about him from a guy who knows Columbian football and says he is a bit of a star.

Who knows but if he is free and wages low, then could be worth a punt. Scouting network is going to be key this year.

Yeah, that dude does say he played mostly as a winger last season but CAN play RB and RWB. Winger is needed tbf and it would be great to have someone who can cover Yiadom that actually knows how to get up and down the pitch.

Well yeah, depends on whether Paunovic thinks Araruna is up to it - will be 10/11 months between competitive games for him. If not, we're left with Yiadom (who missed most of last season with constantly injury problems)

Ultimately also depends on whether any U23's are ready for the step up too - but considering Watson was the main RB last season for the U23's, this seems unlikely

It’s irrelevant, players can be signed any time after the previous season closes as they won’t play until the pre-season friendlies start in July anyway.
