LUX a big yes, to all those questions. I first went when I was 8 and have followed them closely every season since then.
LUX Yes.

morganb Following on from the "Dai Yongee and Dayong Pang don't care" thread:
I'm just interested in why you personally care about Reading FC?
Do you defend them when your mates mock their latest defeat?
Do the poor results put you in a bad mood?
Have you stuck with them through thick and thin, in fair weather and foul?
Are you proud to support your local team and their record-breaking history?
Be it their results, the league they are in or even their survival as a club, why do you care about The Royals?
Why do you personally care about Reading FC?

ok, they are the team of my birthplace and I got into the habit of watching and following them.
Them being often "rubbish" makes the good days (which will return) sweeter

From Despair To Where? I grew up with it, I've lived my whole life with it and although it pisses me off a lot of time ard I want to scream "WTF are you doing?" a lot, it's like family.

The Royal Forester I was born in Whitley Wood, but only went to Elm park once whilst living there, My dad took me me to a game, think it must have been against Man. U. in 1953-4. We moved to Windsor in 1955 but I went back to Reading to meet my friends from my previous estate and we ended up going to Elm Park most Saturday home games. However they gradually stopped going, I on the other hand met new friends on the terraces. Followed The Biscuitmen all over the country for several seasons (about five or six I guess) we only missed a handful of home or away games). Sometimes our group of five, apart from one other fan (Mick Foster?) who always made his own way,, I think he was involved with the Supporters Club, were the only away fans, so we were on friendly terms with the players and manager, Roy Bentley even gave us a lift in the "team coach" (it was a local coach, hired to get them to Doncaster Station) from Scunthorpe to Doncaster, so we didn't miss our train home. Meeting a girl. now my wife of over fifty years, having children etc. meant football had to come well done my priorities, and could only be followed by reading the Reading local papers, bought and kept by Dad until the next time we met. I still follow The Royals of course, but now live further away from Reading, so now age and living expenses take priority, It may be I haven't been to a match for a very long time, but can say that I have seen Reading FC play in all the four tiers, even the top one, which for so many years of following "my team" I couldn't even dream was a possible but at least I am now able to listen to the every match on Royals TV. Fond memories of those days long ago is the reason I shall always care about Reading, whichever division they are in. I often think if I still lived in the house I was born in, it would be so easy- if my dodgy knee allowed me to- to walk to home games, The only time I feared for the future of my club was the Maxwell, so called merger, but those fears will resurface if we go down this season

Good post and very much share your concerns about relegation.
