Only The Poets were guests at a home game last season and, IIRC, Tommy, their lead singer, was interviewed at half-time. IMO a decent band with a big overseas following and likely to become much bigger and better known over the next couple of years. It will be good to be able to add a few more names to the 'famous people who support Reading' list!Sutekh wrote:Honestly never heard of any of themClyde1998 wrote:We're certainly getting into smaller bands now:

If anyone went to the pre-season Purple Turtle a few years ago, the lead singer was surprisingly vocal on his dislike for Dai, especially considering it was a RFC organised gig. Does make me think that they've been given some indication that the takeover will be done.JedMaxwell wrote:That's a great booking for the final day.
I like the fact that it's there to showcase smaller bands as well, but for a big game like this one it seems fitting. Could get them to play Black Magic live as the teams walk out, from the stage, and it'll probably sound better than the stadium speakers.
