There's often both 'dispossesed' and 'unsuccessful touch'.
I think dispossesed tends to be more someone else has done something to take the ball off you, tackle, shoulder to shoulder etc, and unsuccessful touch is more when you miscontrol the ball into touch or to the opposition.
For the record our most dispossesed / game and most unsuccessful touches /game are...
Dispossesed
Marriott - 2
Elliott - 1.8
Wing - 1.1
Doyle - 1.1
Kyerewaa - 0.9
Ahmed - 0.8
Ritchie - 0.8
You can see why Ahmed has gone back to the unders, being dispossesed that often as a defender is worrying. The next defender is Jacob at 0.5 in 12th.
Unsuccessful Touches
Ehibhatiomhan - 2.8
Marriott - 2.7
Elliott - 2.3
Ahmed - 2.1
Kyerewaa - 1.8
Lane - 1.7
Doyle - 1.5
Again, Ahmed way up the ranks for a defender. And again Jacob next defender at 1.4 in 9th.
Looks rather like our players really need to work on their first touch and control.
That's pretty piss poor from Elliott tbh, top 3 in both stats.
In terms of comparison to the division, if Marriott and Elliott qualified under the minimum appearance, they'd both be in the running for top 10 worst for the division for Dispossesed. And for Unsuccessful Touch, Kelvin is 17th, so that's actually not too bad for our worst offender.
