Is it posted anywhere how many we had last season?Clyde1998 wrote: ↑15 Jun 2026 15:46 Hadn't realised the close of renewals would prevent anyone from purchasing season tickets online, so I don't have a final number at the point of closure.
My estimate was 5,926 at 16:00 yesterday. Based on progress in the final few days, we probably ended up with around 6,200-6,300 after the renewal period (give or take a hundred or so).
My estimate using the same method was 8,818.traff wrote: ↑15 Jun 2026 15:59Is it posted anywhere how many we had last season?Clyde1998 wrote: ↑15 Jun 2026 15:46 Hadn't realised the close of renewals would prevent anyone from purchasing season tickets online, so I don't have a final number at the point of closure.

Some points about that:Couhig said at one point we'd sold more than 9,000. I'd say that's very plausible, given I can't include disabled bays and hospitality seats in my estimate. Those could easily be an additional 200-400 tickets.
- Uses the online seat map, which doesn't include disabled or hospitality season ticket sales.
- Seats which are clearly not being sold aren't included in the estimate (such as segregation; rows in front of disabled bays; sections reserved for the children's half-time penalty shootout; etc). Just under 2,700 seats fall into this category.
- Obviously only the club will know the true figure.
We're basically looking at about 70% of last seasons sales though among 'standard' seats.
I get the loyalty bit but I feel the clubs lost it’s soul especially now it’s been taken over by Americans.katweslowski wrote: ↑16 Jun 2026 06:48 Pissed off with myself for renewing again. I hate Richardson's football and wanted to vote with my feet
But loyalty and being a part of it sucked me in. It's the issue with supporting your team, your heart wins over your head.
I'll post back here after our first game saying how much I regret the decision
P s. I completely get those not renewing
Of all the owners of late it was this one that's tipped it for you?Marcel wrote: ↑16 Jun 2026 11:35I get the loyalty bit but I feel the clubs lost it’s soul especially now it’s been taken over by Americans.katweslowski wrote: ↑16 Jun 2026 06:48 Pissed off with myself for renewing again. I couldn’t bring myself to renew because I feel it’s no longer the Reading FC I can relate to and I know I’m not alone in thinking this way.
Nowhere did I say I hated Rob Couhig. I just feel the club doesn’t feel the same anymore and don’t like the way they have got rid of quite a few employees that have served the club well over the years.
Wasn't targeting you with my comment, there is plenty of hatred aimed at Couhig et al.Marcel wrote: ↑16 Jun 2026 13:24Nowhere did I say I hated Rob Couhig. Don’t get me wrong I respect Rob for saving the club but the American way is just not for me.
How many half season tickets were there? If we typically sell another 20-25% then, then we're probably on track year on year - but that seems pretty punchy.Clyde1998 wrote: ↑16 Jun 2026 16:01 So with the seat map back online, I can update my estimate.
Seems a very large amount of people waited until the final day to renew, as the number I've got now is 7,090 or 80% renewing (at least 80% of the 2025-26 total sales at the renewal deadline).
Basically mirrors the poll on here from a few weeks ago: viewtopic.php?t=192993
Can't imagine anything more than a drip feed of sales from here.
They didn't sell half season tickets last season. Can't imagine they will this season either, as they'll just tell people to buy a subscription.Green wrote: ↑16 Jun 2026 16:09How many half season tickets were there? Totally agree, it's the American way that doesn't sit right with me, I only renewed out of stupidity and loyalty also. The 'Reading way' has well and truly gone.Marcel wrote: ↑16 Jun 2026 13:24Nowhere did I say I hated Rob Couhig.
