Liverpool didn't win the league title at their first attempt after promotion - I got the year of their div 2 title wrong, they were promoted the year before (the year Ipswich won it), they then finished well behind Everton, and then they won it.

I will concede that I had a bit of a nightmare regarding Coppell - I thought he was signed on their return to the top flight, not before it. I can only really recall Big Jim Holton from the 74/75 Manchester United team with any clarity.

There are many times when I wish I didn't bother, most frequently just after pressing the submit button.

Can't actually name any of those (is that the Greek defender in the middle?) - still, an awful result even if they put out a full reserve side, which I don't think they did as I know Agger and N'Gog played. Hodgson appears to have his work cut out - read in the Times that he has got Liverpool defending deeper, and blunted Benitez's attacking mindset. It's not having good results.
