The date and time of Reading's historic FA Cup Semi-Final against Arsenal has been confirmed as Saturday 18 April at 5:20pm. The BBC will have rights to show the game live from Wembley Stadium and it will be screened on BBC 1. The other semi-final will see Aston Villa play either Blackburn or Liverpool and will take place on the following day, also at Wembley.
Steve Clarke has been forced to rotate his squad and include several fringe players in recent Championship fixtures. That trend looks set to continue as the cup replay, followed by an additional semi-final fixture sees Reading have to pack the games into the calendar before the end of the season. To accommodate the semi-final Reading have pushed the game against Birmingham City back and it will now take place at the Madejski Stadium on Wednesday 22 April. The Rotherham United game which also needed to be postponed due to Reading's cup commitments will now take place on Tuesday 28 April.
Meanwhile, ticket information for Reading's trip to Wembley is set to be announced shortly.
