Another pathetic, spineless performance from the ‘pool. There’ll be more of the same next Tuesday after the opening 5 minutes of bluster ‘cos it’s at Anfield.

Mind you PSG are nowhere near the same as last season based on that dreadful showing either, still more than enough to overcome loSt’s tripe though.

You thought PSG were “dreadful” last night?

They missed some gilt-edged chances (ok, their finishing wasn’t great) and had 2 clear pens not given, so the scoreline could quite easily have been 6-0.

Yes, compared to the way they ripped a much more effective Liverpool “a new one” last season I thought PSG were some way off what they were then. Says something for today’s “Liverpool” that PSG still should have won by 5 or 6 though.

Perhaps poor would have been a better word than dreadful but imo just think they were off the mark - but then the way Liverpool seemed to set up (which, to me, seemed be “let’s just try and keep the inevitable defeat to something manageable”) really meant PSG didn’t have to step up much.

Nah, not having "poor" either. Not clinical enough in front of goal is just about the only criticism that would be fair imo.

FWIW Carragher said PSG were "out of this world" last night and that the biggest compliment he could pay them was that it was like watching Pep's Barcelona.

Not sure I've ever watched a team where to a man they looked so comfortable on the ball. Was like a computer game at times.

I watched about 50 minutes of the game in various stages last night. There was a short spell where Liverpool were playing better and had some chances and shots at goal.

But overall, PSG just looked a class above and completely over-powered Liverpool.

I read on another forum a big Liverpool thread and their fans are just frothing about it. They say they don't recognise their team, don't like seeing Salah on the bench, don't think Slot will be sacked, have no idea on what their strongest team are, are upset that PSG managed to push their league games around to get more rest, etc.

That last point - my friend also was upset about this. I pointed out that big 4 clubs always want things their way, and they should just stop their bitching as even if they were allowed 15 players, they still would have lost the game.
