If only we had some power and pace up front. We'd have won that. Can't Jaap find a way of playing two up front? Two proper strikers instead of 1 striker and two wingers.

I can't believe we were so poor that we couldn't stay onside.

The Lino must have been sh*t. Although it is difficult to judge offside from behind the goal.

As I'm the first one back from the game. I'll give my man of the match opinion as well. Today, I give it to Danny Williams. He worked hard today.

Has anyone noticed that Top Flight was the first back? Don't think he's mentioned it yet.

Fairly average performance, not shit, not great. Struggle up front, we really need a striker with some pace.

Anyway, fairly content with a point.

Special mention to the sombrero guy - was fairly entertaining.

Sh*t atmosphere - even away fans didn't get going

Also don't she's trying to get served at half time. Sent down at 38 mins and just watched bar man serve everyone but me.

Thank you to the guy/fan who actually noticed this and said "after you" when served. It was unbelievably frustrating and annoying

As first one back from the game, here are the player ratings:

Al Habsi - 8 - no mistakes. Although, I thought he could have done better for the goal. I'll have to wait until I see it again on the highlights. You can't really see the goal from the upper tier.

Gunter - 7 - did his job. Nothing spectacular

Blackett - 6 - Same as above.

Van den Berg - 7 - same as usual. May have been at fault for the goal. I hardly saw the goal anyway in the mele. Will have to judge later

Moore - 7 - Did well enough

Swift - 7 - Was great for England. Not quite as good for us. But then we don't have Tammy Abrahams making great runs to be played in.

Evans - 7 - sprayed it around nicely

Williams - 8 - worked hard, was dynamic in the centre of the park

Beerens - 7 - Did well, but with only Slow Yann up front, it can be a thankless task trying to make sh*t happen in the opposition third.

McCleary - 8 - did well on the wing. I think he scored, but missed it in the distracting environment of the school end upper. Showed some great wing play but an incompetent linesman kept raising his flag to put a stop to his well timed darting runs.

Kermie - 6 - needs a partner, his talent is wasted on his own up front.

Is anyone back from the game yet? QPR isn't that far.

We missed McShane today - Gunter was the only one of the back 4 not making mistakes.

Al Habsi's distribution was wayward to say the least.

Have no idea how Blackett gets in the side ahead of Jordan.

Thought we were going to nick it towards the end but it wasn't to be...

Al Habsi: 7/10 nothign obvious but his distribution wasn't great

Gunter: 8/10 - Pretty good I thought, the best of the back four

Blackett: - 6/10 - Not great, he looked off pace and not good enough

Moore: 7/10 - did his job but nothing more

Beerens: 6/10 - average, nowt special

Van den berg: 7/10 - average

Williams: 8/10 one of the best on the pitch - very good

Swift: 7/10 - average, struggled to really get involved

Kemit: 8/10 - good, at times he looked completely out paced but he put the most effort in I think out of all the squad

Although I am currently wearing my Beer jacket. I would like to state that we dropped 2 points today.
The fakies were dire and the poorest team I have seen this season. Even worse than Preston. Makes you wonder where that away performance at Brentford manifested itself from.

We dominated and Williams was at the heart of everything.

Watched the game with the QPR so had good view of the game from the side.

We all know we need someone to bang the ball in the net but we played some nice stuff in the final 3rd. The interplay between Berrens, Obita & Swift was great.

We look good especially as we are in transition.

Blackett - kept making mistakes, as he did in the tinpot cup against Pompey. Seriously drag backs in your own area? Just clear the oxford thing! Not sure when Jordan sh@t in Jaap's porridge!

Joey - Not a centre back - though with McShane and Cooper (and unable to play a passing game) out we're fairly light on options.

Beerens - cockblocked G Mac by running into his space an killing a move.

Still much better than last season!

Yeah, I'm perfectly happy with our progress this season. We would've all taken 7th at this stage after last season and a big clearout.

It's good that we know what problems we have to address too - whereas last season we had problems all over the place. If we can start scoring more goals then we are set.

In with the Rangers fans and didn't get a clear view of the Gunter elbow? incident. Did anybody see clearly what happened ?

Surprised at the police presence in and around ground/Shepherds bush. I guess I'm used to home games where's there's only 5-6 police officers and not many more in town.

It was like Brentford, police everywhere. Walking away after and the street was lined with them.

Worth noting that QPR pressed very high up the pitch for the full 90 minutes. Other teams have tried this season but then faded. QPR's discipline meant we had to be much more direct and there was very little passing it around the back. Al-Habsi probably kicked long more times in this match than all the other games put together. This meant Evans was bypassed for a lot of the game, and Williams & Swift played higher up the pitch.

I think it is credit to how well the side has progressed that we seemed to cope fairly easily with this significant change in strategy. I assume this was purely down to QPR's approach, but it will be interesting to see on Tuesday if we revert to type or whether Stam has decided that getting it forward more quickly is now required.

There were a few moments where we looked really sharp in the middle - short, quick passes that tied QPR in knots. Unfortunately, these moments either ended with our own players being tied in knots as well, or with us being caught offside. However, I do see the positives, and can see we are starting to function as a team rather than a bunch of individuals.

It was my 18y.o. son's first visit to Loftus Road. Bit of an eye-opener for him - an away game 80s style. Police everywhere as we approached the ground; a cage in the street for away fans to be frisked; primitive catering facilities with nowhere to queue; totally inadequate seating; 10 minute queue to get out at full time. Proper football.
